Who we are

The Devil’s Kitchen is a new venture from environmentalist Dale Vince OBE, Chairman of the world’s greenest football club, Forest Green Rovers.

Our mission is to make delicious foods that help people embrace a plant-based lifestyle.

Under Dale’s leadership, Forest Green Rovers introduced a fully vegan menu in 2015, cooking delicious, plant-based foods for players and fans alike. In 2018, the club became the world’s first, UN certified, carbon-neutral professional football club.

Devil’s Kitchen is a natural extension of the club’s work – it’s named after the catering outlets in the stadium. It enables our award-winning menu to be enjoyed right across Britain - and beyond. Our foods are now available for both foodservice and retail.

The Devil’s Kitchen is part of the Green Britain Group, aiming to create a country where sustainable living and ethical business are the norm.

“We exist to tackle the main sources of carbon emissions in Britain – energy, transport and food. We have a radical not-for-dividend business model and we’re focused on bringing about a greener Britain.”

Dale Vince OBE,
Founder, Green Britain Group

Another way

We don’t have to give up eating delicious food to protect the planet, but we do need to find another way of doing things. The food industry is one of the biggest contributors to carbon emissions – mainly due to livestock farming – and the UN has warned that unless emissions are cut drastically by 2030, we face a climate catastrophe.

The Devil’s Kitchen gives consumers a better alternative. Our plant-based foods are made with renewable energy from the wind and sun. They’re bursting with flavour, are healthier even compared to other vegan options, and are better for the planet.

Our Food

Devilishly delicious

At the Devil’s Kitchen, we’re not trying to mimic meat products – we’re going to replace them. And we’re doing it with absolutely no compromise on flavour or health.

Using recipes crafted by our in-house chef, we’re producing outstanding flavours using natural, locally grown ingredients, with no cheating. In fact, Devil’s Kitchen foods rate among the lowest for salt and saturated fat content across the vegan category.

The foods we make are already favourites with players and fans alike at Forest Green Rovers, where they’re enjoyed week in, week out. Try them sometime – we’re sure you’ll find they’re devilishly delicious!

Tasty vegan foods for kids

Our pioneering Little Green Devils range offers delicious vegan and free-from foods created especially for kids. Launched in 2019 as the first of its kind, our centre-of-plate protein foods are already served in over 4,500 schools. Many colleges and universities now serve our foods, too.

The growing range provides popular, inclusive choices made only from plants and packed full of good stuff. Each product is non-fried, uncoated and free from the 14 major allergens. Our foods are produced in our own dedicated facility and we hand-pick every ingredient, undertaking detailed audits on each one.

Through Little Green Devils, our experience at Forest Green Rovers is being utilised by school caterers across the UK. They link the benefits of plant-based eating and activity with raising awareness of environmental issues directly with children. This is achieved through stadium visits for caterers and children and in-school talks, Eco Menu Theme Day kits, and even bespoke product development captured by FGR’s video team.
